Acts 29
Acts 29 is an organisation and global network of churches bound together by relationship, theology, and mission.
Planting churches worldwide
Emmanuel Fellowship exists not only to gather people, but to be part of God’s wider mission in the world. We believe church planting is one of the most effective ways of reaching new people with the good news of Jesus and forming healthy, gospel-shaped communities.
We are a church plant out of Redeemer Church Tauranga, which was planted in 2014, and we were sent out and established in Pāpāmoa in 2024. From the beginning, our story has been shaped by a conviction that the gospel is meant to be shared, churches are meant to multiply, and local communities are meant to be served.
We’re part of the Acts 29 church planting network—a global family of churches united by shared theology, relationships, and mission. Acts 29 churches are committed to the authority of the Bible, the centrality of Jesus, healthy church culture, and planting new churches in places where people live, work, and raise families.
New Zealand, and places like Pāpāmoa, continue to grow—but many people have little connection to a local church or a clear understanding of the Christian faith. We believe there is a real need for more faithful, welcoming, gospel-centred churches across Aotearoa.
Being involved in church planting shapes how we think about leadership, generosity, and mission. We want to be a church that not only grows, but sends—trusting God to use ordinary people to build his church for the good of others.
